A professor’s insights into Studying Medicine in Malta
Robert Sciberras is a prominent figure in the medical field as a Consultant Physician at Gozo General Hospital and Clinical Professor and Senior Associate Dean of Queen Mary, Malta Campus. His unwavering commitment and passion were instrumental in establishing the Queen Mary, Malta Campus. But, did you know that Robert has a hidden talent that may surprise you?
The maestro of medicine
Robert has devoted over three decades of his life to Gozo General Hospital, but in his younger years, his aspirations were rooted in the world of music. To this day, Robert continues to pursue his musical passions.
“I have a musical background, so I manage the hospital orchestra, which regularly performs concerts and musical events both within the hospital and throughout Gozo and Malta.”
Despite its small size, Gozo boasts a thriving musical scene, offering something for every taste.
“There lots of venues in Gozo where culture activities occur practically every weekend in summer, every single day.”
The flavours of Gozo
Gozo is not only rich in music, but also in its vibrant food culture, which focuses on local ingredients and traditional recipes.
“The coffee and gourmet scene in Gozo is thriving,” says Robert. “There are numerous coffee houses and restaurants, many of which are top-notch, located both by the sea and in the historic center of Victoria. You’ll always find a delicious bite to eat in this charming town.”
“The menu changes with the seasons and features wines to match each dish.”
